The Pink Panther is of course an iconic character and this is an original, hand-painted background used in the 1980's or 1990's cartoon series. It was actually on-screen and if you watched the shows you could find this in an episode!

Backgrounds are amazing pieces of original art that are hand-painted by animators for the cartoons. Cels are placed over a background and photographed as a single frame that then appear on the TV. AND backgrounds are much more rare than cels or drawings, as there is only one background for a few hundred cels or more! And this one could of course be used behind any cel to make it look great!
